Fresh Paint

So here are some pictures of the new paint. It came out really nice. I had a neighbor of a friend paint the tank and seat. I'd like to do some pin striping later on to really make the bike come together pulling in some of the other colors I've got planned for some of the other parts and pieces. So whats next... the electrical. I'm thinking for now I need to use the stock gauges to trace back all the wiring. I got a little ahead of myself trying to do too much electrical mayhem. I think for now I'm just going to replace the turn signals, tail light, and delete the battery. Later I can replace the gauges and headlight.

After that I'm going to replace the stock carbs with Mikuni VM32s. They have much, much more tuneablity than the stock Keihin carbs. You can't even get different jets for the stock carbs! Thats why I went with the Mikunis from Sudco. They jetted the carbs for my specific setup with the stock exhaust and pod filters. All I need to do is sync them and I should be set. Knock on wood.

I like it! I'm about to start on my own Cafe Racer project and will be documenting it on my blog. Keep us posted on your progress.

Will this website ever be updated again? Or will we see this bike on e-bay soon as its owner has lost interest...

Why update the site... or the bike for that matter,... when you can just leave it in a friend's garage to slowly decay... like my interest in this blog...

Hey! Great looking bike! I have those same gauges and almost the same bike ('75 cb500t). How did you remove the original gauges? How did you mount/attach the new gauges? I'm having a time figuring it out.
