Fresh Paint

So here are some pictures of the new paint. It came out really nice. I had a neighbor of a friend paint the tank and seat. I'd like to do some pin striping later on to really make the bike come together pulling in some of the other colors I've got planned for some of the other parts and pieces. So whats next... the electrical. I'm thinking for now I need to use the stock gauges to trace back all the wiring. I got a little ahead of myself trying to do too much electrical mayhem. I think for now I'm just going to replace the turn signals, tail light, and delete the battery. Later I can replace the gauges and headlight.

After that I'm going to replace the stock carbs with Mikuni VM32s. They have much, much more tuneablity than the stock Keihin carbs. You can't even get different jets for the stock carbs! Thats why I went with the Mikunis from Sudco. They jetted the carbs for my specific setup with the stock exhaust and pod filters. All I need to do is sync them and I should be set. Knock on wood.

Switching It Up A Little

Alright, I know this is totally crazy but I've decided to move my vintage cafe blog over to here. Its free! Can't beat that. And the user interface is better. Now I've just gotta get all my old stuff over onto here and I'll be set. Just another project I'm gonna have to do.

Oh well, I'll live.

For now, here is a link to the old blog: cre8tiv1.livejournal.com

You can go there to see all the the work up untill now.
